A Report of Peripheral Circulatory Insufficiency following Frequent Percutaneous Punture of the Radial Artery and the Bracheal Artery Cannulation

Abstract
This 62-year-old male underwent segmental resection of small bowl because of small bowel necrosis associated with septic shock under general endotracheal anesthesia. After failing in the left radial artery cannualation with several attempts for
frequent
artrerial blood gas analysis and direct blood pressure monitorings, the left bracheal artery was cannulated with 20G arterial catheter. After the cannulation, a circulatory insufficiency was developed. Thus hot bag application, stellate ganglion
block,
axillary brachial plexus block and digital nerve block with 1% lidocaine hydrochloride were performed. Thereafter he was recovered from the circulatory insufficiency without any complication.
